Medical Advisor: Moyo Adeyemi, M.B., B.S., FRCPC

Moyo Adeyemi is our Medical Advisor at CARE Healthy Living.

Moyo is a medical practitioner specializing in pediatrics. She is a Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC).

She holds a Specialist Certificate in Pediatrics (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada).

Moyo has over 15 years of pediatric practice experience. She worked at the Pediatric Department of the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg and practiced as a Pediatrician at the General Hospital in Thompson, Manitoba. She also served as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health, University of Manitoba.

She presently practices as a pediatrician in Brockville, Ontario.

Editorial Advisor: Sunday Ajayi, B.Sc, Ph.D

Sunday Ajayi is our Editorial Advisor at CARE Healthy Living. He served as Professor of Analytical/Environmental Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry, University of Ibadan, Nigeria, until retirement in 2007.

He pioneered the establishment of the College of Pure and Applied Science at the Caleb University, Imota, Lagos (2008 -2016). He is currently the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Caleb University.
 
Professor Ajayi brings extensive editorial experience to our board. He served for more than ten years as the Editor-in-Chief of the Nigerian Journal of Science (NJS), a publication of the Science Association of Nigeria (SAN). He was later President of SAN.

He also served on the Editorial Board of Science of the Total Environment (STOTEN), published by Elsevier, Amsterdam.

His international engagements started with a postdoctoral stint at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, in the 1971/72 academic session. He spent a sabbatical year as a research fellow at the University of Uppsala in 1977/78 and Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada, in the 1987/88 session.

His other international engagements included research visits to the LGC Group (formerly Laboratory of the Government Chemist) in London and to government laboratories engaged in environmental research across the UK at various times in the 1970s; a research visit to Strathclyde University, Glasgow in the summer of 1978, and a study visit to Swedish Air Pollution Control Laboratories (Studsvik) in 1983.

He chaired a session of the group for trace metals in the aquatic environment during the 1988 Joint Conference of Chemical Societies of North America (the USA and Canada).

He is a registered Public Analyst under the Nigerian National Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and former chairman of the membership and training committee of the Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria (IPAN).

He received a merit award of  Fellow of the Science Association of Nigerian (FSAN) in 2004. He was inducted Fellow of the Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria (FIPAN) and received a Distinguished Special Award during the Institute’s Silver Jubilee celebration in 2018.
